According to sources who can’t spill all the details on the deal, “The Daily Host” shelled out a whopping $20.5 million for a mansion. The home was on the market in summer last year for $21 million and was sold in November 2018. The deal was sealed through a blind trust, but reports confirm that Trevor Noah is the new owner to this amazing piece of property.
The land area totals 1.31 acres and sits on a promontory lot that offers a view of Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean. The house itself is two stories and takes up 10,044 living square feet. Built to specification, it is made with state of the art security and the latest technological comforts. Think Control4 smart home automation and a gated surrounding.
Guests are welcomed through a pivoting wood paneled door. The first floor features a glass and concrete set up which compliments the wide and open living room. Pocketing top to bottom glass sliding doors open the living room to an outdoor seating area perfect for a tête-à-tête or cocktails before dinner. The focal point of the first floor can also well be the 500 gallon saltwater aquarium that will catch anyone’s attention in the room.
A contemporary standalone fireplace in the center of the room delineates the formal dining room area which features a chandelier. Of course, it also comes outfitted with an equally stylish kitchen that carries a minimalist design. Two marble islands provide ample space for cooking and preparations. Other things to be found on the ground floor include a home theater and maid’s quarters.
The second floor features, four en suite bedrooms. Among these is the master bedroom which spans 2,200 square feet. One wall in the said bedroom is made entirely of glass, which opens into a wraparound terrace and offers a breathtaking view. The ensuite bathroom includes two bathrooms and two closets. Among the three other bedrooms is a rumoured VIP suite with its very own private terrace.
In total, Trevor’s new mansion has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Throughout the home finishing touches of polished glass, limestone and leathered marble can be found. Other things in the home are a wine cellar, cigar room, cabana and three car gallery.
Outside, a 62 foot swimming pool with a cantilevered edge sits amidst a huge lawn and a perfectly manicured garden.
James Harris and Mauricio Umansky of the Agency held the listing. Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland represented Noah.
Other than this new place, the comedian still maintains his $10 million duplex in Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan.
