The San Fernando Valley of LA is home to many A-List celebrities who want a reprieve from the paparazzi as they typically venture less into this densely populated semi-urban area. Multi- award Grammy winning singer and songwriter Bruno Mars is a prime example. He officially “came out here drippin in finesse” purchasing this 9,000 square foot mansion which sits on a sprawling two acre property in the exclusive area of Studio City, Fryman Canyon. Mars purchased his mansion for $6.5 million at that time in 2015. Today the home is worth approximately $9 million.
According to Architectural Digest, what’s most interesting is “that the seller reportedly was Elvira Kudryashova, daughter of a former Kazakhstan minister who was being sued by California federal court for allegedly defrauding the Kazakh city of Almaty of at least $300 million. Kudryashova reportedly paid $5.7 million when she purchased the mansion in 2013, but put it back on the market less than a year later for about $7.8 million. The price dropped to $6.8 million, with Mars eventually buying it for $6.5 million.”
For this price Mars got to call George Clooney his neighbor as he also resides in the same twice gated community. The house itself is composed of seven bedrooms and eight baths. An entire separate wing is provided for the children with two en suite bedrooms as well. Also included are a great room with kitchen, family room with bar and a wine cellar.
The California dream mansion also features resort style amenities with an infinity pool and spa, dry baths, a heated cabana, steam baths and a children’s playground. Family and guests are also treated to beautiful views of the San Fernando Valley.
